According to BBC, Warner Bros is suing and Indian film company over the title of an upcoming film, Hari Puttar, A comedy of terror. The film is about to be released in September. Warner Bros says that the name of the film is too similar to their world famous child wizard Harry Potter. A lawsuit has been filed in the Bomby High Court which will start hearing the case soon.

I think that there is not much resemblance in Hari Puttar and Harry Potter. There isn’t any similarity in the story either. Hari is a common name in India which is not even similar in pronunciation to the English Harry.

Is the Pakistan Army going to ask Pervez Musharraf to resign? According to a report which is published in the Telegraph the Pakistan Army is going to ask Pervez Musharraf to resign within a week. The newspaper has quoted an undisclosed former military aid of the president according to whom the army leadership does not want the president to face the humiliation of impeachment.

The source says that the army is neutral but is expecting the president to resign. It will influence the president’s safe passage as the senior leadership of the army would not want him to be punished It further says that the ruling coalition decided to impeach the president because he had started to plot against the government with the help of intelligence agencies.

I think that there is not much substance in this report. Zardari wants to become the president and Nawaz wants to settle personal score. There is no other reason for bringing the impeachment motion against the president. I would also say it here that the day Zardari becomes the president of the country, it will be the unfortunate day in the history of Pakistan

According to a CNN report the United States fears that the move to impeach President Musharraf may harm the war on terror in which Pakistan plays a pivotal role. The CNN report contradicts the statement issued by the spokesman of the Statement Department according to which the impeachment would not affect the war on terror.

The CNN has said quoting senior State Department officials that the internal turmoil which has resulted from the impeachment move will harm the efforts to defeat militants hiding in the tribal areas of Pakistan.

The signals which we are getting from Washington regarding the impeachment move are conflicting. I believe that United States would not stand behind its most important ally in the war on terror. This is a fact that President Musharraf was the most important person and the driving force in the country against the war on terror. If his towering personality is removed, the efforts to defeat the rising insurgency in the country will not succeed and I fear that it may spread to other parts of the country as well.

The leaders of the ruling coalition in Pakistan have said that they would start impeachment proceedings against President Pervez Musharraf. This was said in a joint press conference by Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif. Zardari derided the economic policies of the president and held him responsible for the economic travails of the country.
Zardari also accused the president of undermining the transition to democracy. Someone must tell Zardari that democracy does not mean change on clothes only. Pervez Musharraf has done a lot for the country and if the people do not realize it, it would be better for him to step down. If the President was responsible for bad policies, why is it that his policies have not been reversed so far?
If it was wrong to send forces in tribal areas and Baluchistan, why has the new democratic government not called the military back?
The new government has thrown the country into an abyss from where it would not be easy to jump out. I believe that the main reason for bringing the impeachment motion is this that Zardari does not want to restore judges and hence in order to detract the attention of the people, he has started a new show. I think that Zardari should have the moral courage to say that he would face all the corruption and murder charges against him in the courts instead of getting everything clean with the infamous NRO. The NRO was also issued by Pervez Musharraf.

Local government elections are being held in Bangladesh under the military backed caretaker government. 1. 500 gms boneless fish
2. 4 bread slice
3. Half cup milk
4. One onion
5. 4 tablespoon butter
6. 4 hard boiled eggs.
7. 1 tablespoon green coriander
8. Half cup bread crumbs
9. Salt and black pepper according to your taste.
10. Oil

After you have made available all the ingredients necessary to make fish cutlass, cut the edges of bread slices and soak them in milk. Chop bread slices, fish, butter, onion, salt and pepper in a food processor. Heat two tablespoon of oil in the pan and fry bread crumbs, green coriander, chopped boiled eggs for two minutes. Add salt and white pepper. Make cutlass of fish mince, put a filling on it and wrap it like a ball. Heat oil in a wok and coat cutlasses with egg and bread crumbs and fry it. You can serve this with tea in the evening.

The Pakistan Government had to withdraw its notification to place the power Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) under the direct control of the ministry of interior in the small hours after immense pressure from the defence circles. In my opinion this ill-advised decision was taken in Dubai by Mr. Zardari and Rehman Malik who want to consolidate more and more power in their hands. The PM is only a figurehead. He only follows the instructions passed on to time via London.
