The director of the the Central Intelligence Agency has said that Al-Qaida has found safe havens in Pakistan which poses a "clear and present" danger to the west. The CIA chief claimed that these safe havens have established near the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. He has threatened that any future attack against the US would originate from these safe havens.

I think that the director has made this claim in order to pressurize the newly formed Pakistan government. I question the reliability of the statement made by the director. Was it not the CIA which claimed that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? These weapons of mass destruction have yet to be found.

There is massive presence of US troops in Afghanistan. If we accept it for the sake of argument that the Al-Qaida has been able to establish safe havens along the border then the question arises as to what the US forces and other agencies are doing there to check this infiltration of Al-Qaida elements in Pakistan? Why have the US forces not been able to check it?

The new government has barely taken charge in the country when the US government has started its pressure tactics. The US government has created a hoax for its people in order to divert their attention from the real problems being faced by them.
