In seafoods I like fish the most. There are other things as well such as prawn, crabs etc which people like but I have never been able to bring myself round to eating prawns and crabs. I not only like fish but I sometimes cook fish myself. It is not that I like cooking very much or I am good at cooking, but I like to cook on holidays or on fishing trip with friends.

Today I will share you the recipe of stuffed fish cutlasses and I hope that you will like it. You will need the following ingredients to prepare fish cutlasses.

1. 500 gms boneless fish
2. 4 bread slice
3. Half cup milk
4. One onion
5. 4 tablespoon butter
6. 4 hard boiled eggs.
7. 1 tablespoon green coriander
8. Half cup bread crumbs
9. Salt and black pepper according to your taste.
10. Oil

After you have made available all the ingredients necessary to make fish cutlass, cut the edges of bread slices and soak them in milk. Chop bread slices, fish, butter, onion, salt and pepper in a food processor. Heat two tablespoon of oil in the pan and fry bread crumbs, green coriander, chopped boiled eggs for two minutes. Add salt and white pepper. Make cutlass of fish mince, put a filling on it and wrap it like a ball. Heat oil in a wok and coat cutlasses with egg and bread crumbs and fry it. You can serve this with tea in the evening.

The federal government has reduced the customs and deemed duty on petroleum products by 25 per cent but it has decided to use the average Rs. 4.30 per liter for budget financing instead of passing it on to the consumers. There has been a downward trend in the international market and prices have fallen down nearly 20 dollar per barrel.

I think that the government should have lowered the prices keeping in view this downward trend and passed on the benefit from reduction in customs and deemed duty to the people. It is unfortunate that the government which claims to be people’s government has so far not taken a single decision in the interest of the people.

It has increased prices of all necessary things, including petroleum a number of times which has made earning means of livelihood more and more difficult for the poor people.
We look forward to the day when the government will be able to pass some financial benefit to the common people of the country. So far it has been blaming the previous government for all the bad things, but soon a time will come when they will no longer be able to use this lame excuse as well.

The minister for finance has said that CNG dealers would be required to charge only the price of gas set by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority OGRA. He said that he was surprised as to why CNG dealers are being allowed to charge a price of their own choice.

The Pakistan Government had to withdraw its notification to place the power Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) under the direct control of the ministry of interior in the small hours after immense pressure from the defence circles. The Daily Jang has reported that the Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani was informed in London that the Army was “displeased” with the decision and it was not acceptable to President Pervez Musharraf.

The decision to take back the notification has greatly damaged the standing of the Prime Minister and questions have been raised about his ability to solve complex problems. The Dawn has reported that there were red faces all around when the government reversed its decision.

I think that it was an imprudent decision in the first place. At a time when the rating of the government is at the lowest ebb, government should have avoided any direct confrontation with the military, keeping in view that there is a long history of military rule in the country.

In my opinion this ill-advised decision was taken in Dubai by Mr. Zardari and Rehman Malik who want to consolidate more and more power in their hands. The PM is only a figurehead. He only follows the instructions passed on to time via London.

The US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has once again demanded of Pakistan to do more to help curb the “flow of militants” across its border into Afghanistan. She was backed by the Australian Foreign Minister who described the porous north-west frontier between Pakistan and Afghanistan as the current international hotbed of terrorism and hence it could not be regarded as a bilateral border issue between the two countries.

I fail to understand what they mean by “do more”. We are always hearing about this that Pakistan needed to do more to curb terrorism. Do they not realize that Pakistan has limited resources and does not have the resources to check infiltration across the highly porous border between Pakistan and Afghanistan? Even if Pakistan is not doing more to check the flow of militants, what is the US led NATO forces doing on the other side of the border? Why can’t they check the militants on their side of the border?
I think that a situation is being deliberately created to find an excuse for taking action inside Pakistani territory. The US and allied forces want to find some excuse to enter into Pakistani territory and unfortunately the tribesmen are giving credence to the fact that militants are regrouping their by fighting against Pakistani forces.

The tribesmen do not realize that they would not be able to match the superior firepower power of the NATO forces in case they cross the border. They are bound to suffer heavy losses if they continue to behave irresponsibly.
